Heikki Malinen, Chairman of the AmCham Board,  is the new President and CEO of Itella as of December 11, 2012. At that time, Jukka Alho, President and CEO of the company since 2000, will retire as per his contract. Mr. Malinen will start working for Itella on November 1, 2012.

Mr. Malinen, M.Sc.econ., MBA, was the President and CEO of Pöyry from 2008 to June 2012. Before that, he was the Executive Vice President of Strategy and a Member of Executive Committee at UPM-Kymmene. In 1997–2005, Mr. Malinen worked in the United States for UPM-Kymmene, Pöyry and McKinsey & Company. Mr. Malinen has been Chairman of the Board at AmCham since 2010.
