Policy Committee

Vice Chaired by Teppo Rantanen, Deloitte & Touche Oy

Comprised of representatives from AmCham Finland member companies, the Policy Committee works to ensure that policy makers hear the voice of the business community.  The Policy Task Force provides a link between business leaders and political decision-making bodies.
 
Researching pertinent policy items and analyzing their impact on transatlantic trade, the Policy Committee aims to advance the collective interests of member companies.
 
Chaired by Max Mickelsson of Microsoft, the Committee offers its analysis and recommendations to the AmCham Board, as well as to interested member companies.

Meetings take place on a quarterly basis. Committee members are appointed by the Chairman of the Board.

“The Policy Committee of AmCham Finland is an effective channel for member companies to inform, engage and influence decision makers and to contribute to a positive business environment in Finland, in Europe and in the Trans-Atlantic Dialogue. The Policy Committee, strongly supported by the other AmCham Committee, is a platform to formulate policy positions that will create value for the political decision makers and the public sector as a whole. To achieve this we need a lot of content and knowledge around a specific policy issue as well as a deep understanding of the policy agenda and policy processes. My ambition as chair is to provide insight into technology policy issues and to contribute via experience and knowledge in policy processes.”
