Mission and goals

AmCham's Legal Committee, formed in 2008, acts as the Chamber’s legal advisory board. By helping form processes, rules and regulations that pertain to policy, the committee enables streamlined policy work within AmCham. Vice chaired by Timo Karttunen of GE Healthcare, the committee focuses on issues that affect our membership, such as establishing business operations and determining product liability. It also organizes events that pertain to its area of focus, and invites distinguished experts of the field to participate in discussions with the Finnish-American business community.

The Committee invites all member companies to join, and strongly encourages the participation of corporate counsels.

Message from Committee Chair:

“As the chair of the Legal Committee, I am looking for all AmCham member companies to share their experiences and thoughts on their future. With their feedback, our committee can continue to provide tailor-made services and solutions for our membership and have a clear idea about future challenges. Our aim is to enhance AmCham’s position as an important entity that can not only take a stand on critical issues facing the business community, but also shape the business environment and legal structure of American companies in Finland—and vice versa.”
