Global Reach

AmCham Finland belongs to a global network that comprises 112 AmChams in 99 countries and the US Chamber in Washington, DC. We also work closely with the Finnish-American Chambers of Commerce in Finland and the United States.

AmCham Russia

In 2008, AmCham Finland entered a strategic partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. With its nationwide reach and a membership of over 850 American companies, AmCham Russia is a highly regarded and influential organization. The two chambers meet at least bi-annually for member briefings and to explore synergies.

This cooperation is organized as the Russian Market Dialogue (see: Networks).

The American Chambers of Commerce in the Nordic countries

AmCham Finland cooperates closely with the American Chambers of Commerce in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden in the close-knit Nordic consortium. 26 firms hold a membership in all four Nordic Chambers.

The AmCham Nordic group collaborates continuously on projects in the fields of policy, security, communication, outreach, and event organization. The executive directors of the respective chambers hold several meetings annually, and the high-level Nordic conference of the Overseas Security Advisory Council rotates among the Nordic AmChams.

The European Council of American Chambers of Commerce (ECACC)

AmCham Finland is a member of the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce.

Founded in 1963, ECACC represents the corporate interests of more than 17,000 American and European companies that are based in 37 countries and employ more than 20 million people.

The Executive Directors and Board members from ECACC countries hold three annual meetings to receive training, share the best practices and leverage synergies.

The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union

AmCham Finland works closely with AmCham EU, an organization designed to represent the interests of American companies that are committed to Europe and the European Union. AmCham EU specializes in facilitating the resolution of EU-US issues that impact business, and works to foster a better understanding in the corporate world of EU and US positions on business matters.

AmCham Finland and AmCham EU cooperate on REACH legislation, trade, investment and competition.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

AmCham Finland is accredited by the US Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business federation that represents more than 3 million businesses. It includes hundreds of associations and thousands of local chambers, and accredits more than 100 independent AmChams in 91 countries.

From its headquarters near the White House, the US Chamber maintains a professional staff of more than 300 of the nation's top policy experts, lobbyists, lawyers, and communications personnel.

The Chamber’s Washington staff is supported by offices in Brussels and New York, eight regional offices around the United States, an on-the-ground presence in China, and a network of grassroots business activists.

AmCham Finland assists American companies in their dealings with the European Union Chemicals Agency in Helsinki, in conjunction with the US Chamber. The Policy Task Force of AmCham Finland visits the Chamber annually as part of its door knock program in Washington, DC.

U.S. Commercial Service

US Commercial Service at the US Embassy in Helsinki is AmCham Finland's member companies' partner for successful business in Finland. The service offers comprehensive export promotion assistance through a variety of programs and services to US companies that wish to enter or expand their Finnish market presence. They also encourage inquiries from Finnish firms interested in importing US products and/or services.
